It my fault because I have high standards and decided to do the electrical/insulation. I had a guy lined up for the wallboard but that fell through. I just want it done properly.....period.
 
Finally... The wallboard guy starts tomorrow! I did have a minor setback on my space. The lifts are just too large... Sucks! I found one company that can customize a bit but the price is more than I have right now. So time to step back and punt. I still have plans next weekend to go down and pick up the other car. The plans is to empty all the storage locations and get all the parts in one spot! At least then I can get a good handle on all my parts new and old! I may look at off loading some additional parts to raise lift money....still contemplating that theory!
 
So I am rounding the corner on more space and ready to collect the other Tr3! Plan is to let the wallboard guy complete and go pick up the car next weekend. Then work to connect the electrical and get final inspections. The lift will wait but I can still start making use of the space. Moving benches and tool boxes etc! Oh and a cheap beer fridge, starting to feel like a garage NOW!

Way too nice for a shop...Let me know when you're done and I'll come smear grease on the walls....your Triumph will take care of the floor for you !
 
So here here is the end result of the garage addition, one more Triumph! Not Cheftush or CJD status but.....I can expand. This after 550 miles and lots of people cutting of the driver of the trailer. This one was purchased for parts but is numbers matching with overdrive. Low TS series so kind of a unique addition, pretty solid and the motor did spin I will have to recheck that soon. Today the rearranging/ inventory begins after cutting the grass. Now can we resume with some car work.....thanks for suffering along with my plight

So I went for final inspections today and passed one out of two. Building was good but the electrical guy failed me because he said I needed Tamper resistant plug outlets. Really, it is a garage. So probably not a good idea to argue with the inspector. 51 dollars later I have new plugs and will be swapping them out. Also struck a deal at work for some inexpensive fluorescent fixtures....well free. Ohh most importantly got my security lights hooked up, went with a 180 degree side mounted led motion light and it is bright. The front garage light was an after thought so no switch, but mounted a coordinating light the other front lights, to tie it in and installed a dusk to dawn lightbulb so that corner of the house is no longer dark. Two weeks before reinspectin so I don't have to take off work time.

Ok so update time....I have received all final inspections on the garage addition. I will have plenty of electricity to handle the work tasks that I will be doing. I added a few things with future additions in mind like the 220 outlet for a better welder. Switched outlet in the ceiling for the 4 post lift(on hold for now). I still need light fixtures and to look at reorganizing the space. It feels good to retire the permit that has been displayed in my front window for way to long.
So now I try to wrap up kids rowing camps, repair the ice maker etc. So how do I get back on track?? Suggestions are greatly appreciated, to say I am busy is an understatement. The fact that I have a summer cold isn't helping either. So feel free to post how to get rolling again. I will say that my needs are to make sure I have the parts to get back to the frame work for the 57 ride. I'm not sure if I should powder coat or paint the frame! Ok that is my update...thanks for suffering along with my addition....now to our regularly scheduled triumph work
 
Start with something small or something you can break into smaller parts so that you can work on them in the limited time you have.

Looking forward to project updates. I really need to get back on mine....again, too much traveling for work, work demands etc and not enough time to work on the fun stuff.

Ok so in order to move forward the garage has to be reworked. Spent the weekend looking and the space and seeing what will fit where. If you add to that the fact I was gifted a mini fridge for beverages on the garage now I really need to contemplate and measure. The bench is the first thing that needs to travel to the other side....pictures to follow!
 
aww CJD but I officially have more Tr's than you.... Two people that I thought I would never surpass you and Cheftush!
I am hunting for a standard 4 speed transmission! I need to take out the overdrive so I can bench test it! I want to put it on the original car even thought it was not on the heritage certificate.
