Does anyone know the size of the size that holds that standard steering wheel onto the standard
'59 BE car? Need another one. I put the original one in a save place.

They are available from Moss and VB. Order both sizes as they are cheap and they sent me the wrong one the first time. Careful about those threads. They strip real easily. Don't ask me how I know.
 
Oh and you want to use those nuts from VB or Moss as if you cross thread the very soft metal nut, it usually goes before the steering column. So if you do as I did, I found a thread file at Sear Hardware that allowed me to straighten out what I screwed up.
 
You got that correct Jim, I think we all know about those soft threads on the shaft now.
 
My solution Jack was scoring a spare column off of a '68 that was being parted out. In the back of the garage complete with a trashed steering wheel. One of these days I'll get around to pulling off the old wheel and replacing the steering shaft.
 
As I said Steve....driver not included. LOL

Good news is I found the original. It was in the plastic bag that contained the horn push button and the spring connector. (actually where it was supposed to be).
