Scooped up the Rims and Checked out the Citroen
I went this afternoon and made the knockoff rims "Go Missing" as the shop owner put it. Threw them in the truck and brought them across the street to work. I brought one inside and took the pressure washer to it. I got a lot of the greese and grime off it, but will clean them up properly when I get them home.
The writing inside the rims is:
DUNLOP
4-00,4-50-18 C200
Made in Great Britan.
They still have the origional rubber lining in them, and the splines (thanks for the explanation) seem unworn, if at all. There are no dents or gouges in them either. They look real nice, except for the red paint that is flaking off. There is absolutly no rust either.
Can these be sand blasted without ruining them?
I also took another look, close up, at the Citroen. The paint is starting to flake on the hood, but I didn't see any real rust on it yet. The shop owner liked the idea of me trying to find a home for it.
