Shocks

Hey folks,

I feel like a little kid at Christmas with a million questions.

How easy or hard would it be to replace the front shocks? I have moderate skills and moderate tools......ha ha ha

Thanks,
Keef

What model car? On the E Types and the series 1,2,3 sedans and the XJS is isn ot hard. ONe some of the latter XJ^'s, there is a hydraulic system and it boecomes more complicated.

he has a 1990's model.

Keef, buy the Factory Service and Parts Manual CD for your model year and you will find out how to do these kinds of repairs step-by-step and therefore, properly. Just buy tools as needed, you don't need expensive tools. (note: do not buy a Haynes Manual, those are a joke!).

the Factory CD is cheaper than a tank of gas and will last you a lot longer than a tank of gas.

check the price here:

Told ya I was like a kid at Christmas. It's a 1992 XJ6. That web site is alil confusing. Do you think they would carry those at the dealership or at a book store?

Thanks,
Keef

they are all like that, try the following:

https:/www.jdht.com (Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in the UK)

https:/www.jaggraveyard.com (USA)

or call your local Jaguar dealer Parts Dept.

or check eBay daily.

<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">the one to get is the Factory Service and Parts Manual on CD, issued by the JDHT. Nothing else is worth buying.</span></span>
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">**please note these CDs do not run on Windows Vista, so stay away from Vista. </span></span>
