She is ready to go.....

After three months of "a little here and a little there" she is all buttoned up and almost ready to go. I still need to send the Dizzy out for rebuild, make alloy pulleys for the water pump and alternator and a few minor others. Everything in this motor is brand new from Winner's circle. Wish me luck!

Looks nice, but I must ask: Why did you not paint the top of the head and around the manifold gasket?

The top of the head and block have been surfaced ground and, quite frankly, I never thought about painting the side of the head.

I think it looks correct unpainted! Better gasket surface for sure!!

I put a masking plate (patterned on the gasket) over the ports before spraying the head.

Its a beautiful motor. Nice work. I am a few weeks behind you, and trying to sort out the color choice. Obviously the original green would look good, but also have considered a dark grey, black, bright red or dark red. Is your water pump just polished?

Factory finish. I am making polished aluminum pulleys for the pump and the alternator. BTW, I made the roller rocker arms as well.

Good luck with your own made rockers. I remember seeing the post when you 1st built them & how. They look fantastic.
Have you thought about a window in the rocker cover?
