I'm trying to decide what wheels to use on my V8 conversion project & am struggling to decide. If you're using something other than standard Rostyle or Wire wheels, please post a picture & note the relevant info (who makes them/contact info, wheel size, offset, tire size, etc.).

If you can post a pic that shows how it looks on the car (vs. a close up of the wheel), that'll help the most. I'm looking to see what looks good with rubber vs. chrome bumpers & how they fill out the wheel well &/or what sort of fender flares you used to compliment if you had to adjust clearance.

Thanks in advance!

Rob

Hey Rob,

I'm running a set of Western Wheels (out of production) that were popular back in the 70's. I got mine on Ebay for pretty much nothing compaired to some of the new wheels availble (~$200 w/shipping) cleaned up pretty neatly and look darn sharp IMHO. The seller says that he took them off of an old 240Z and from what I know just about any of those will fit. Just watch your backspacing.

Here's an older photo but it shows the wheels really well.

I think Tony has a similar set on his GRM ride.

Mine are all pretty standard stuff.

As soon as I get a suspension back up under it, I'll post photos of my Carroll Shelby Saab 15" Minilite look-alikes

I use the 15" minilites. Here's some links to far and close pics. I got them from VB, but they are the Minilite replicas and I think most of the replicas are from the same manufacturer. They are not panasports, and run 215 each after tax (I live close) or a set of 4 for, I think, 799. Oh yeah, they do rub a little on hard corners, but nothing unliveable.

Performance minilite replicas off of e-bay. 14 x 6

I'm running the wire wheels. It's a look thing though, if I were kitting it out for hard rally driving, or upping the power like a V-8 I'd probably fall in with the Minilite crowd myself.

Stock Press'd Steel here... painted black ATM, will be the same colour as the body when finished. "dressed" w/chrome rim rings and (hopefully) some hubcaps. My "d'ruthers" would be th' Pana's but I've blown the budget months ago... by a factor I cannot publicly admit (SWMBO has been known to lurk here) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Found these on ebay - they're from a Mitsubishi, but that's all I know about them.
