What ever happened to the "Pocket Fisherman"? Years ago I bought two of them for the boys and they worked well for them while backpacking with the scouts. I though they were very unique and made quite well. I haven't seen them in a store for years.
 
This is the guy that drive me over the edge. Seems I can hear him yelling at me even when the TV is on mute!

Doesn't work for me - I turn him off or change channel every time he comes on.

Carney barkers. Equates to 'thief' in my vernacular. Product has nothin' to do with it. Hawkers like that cheapen whatever it is.

That tweaker guy selling the latest variation of the wonder towel cracks me up. I really want to buy heath insurance from Billy may that must be a good plan.

I just love it when your fumbling for the mute button when Billy May is screaming at you to buy his product and then they hit you with the ear ringing "just pay seperate shipping and handeling" after thought with the "free" piece of junk they will throw in if you buy thier wonder junk.
 
Kind of like "no credit applications turned away". $10 handling for something that costs $7.50 at WalMart. Free. Yeah.
 
True story here. The company I worked for designed and produced the cartons and boxes for the Pocket Fisherman, Mr. Microphone company. They told us that for items like Mr. Microphone and others, 50% that went out the door were defective, and they knew it. They also knew that at 19.99 or 29.99, most people wouldn't bother to send it back, too much effort. They did a lot of business for a lot of years........
 
My wife and I were at a local mexican restaurant on Sunday and they were broadcasting a soccer game with the volume down. I glanced up and saw Billy Mays selling the scratch remover, but all the graphics were in spanish. I wondered if he yells in spanish as well, or if they attempt to dub over the audio with another annoying voice yelling in spanish.
