My wife and I were at a local mexican restaurant on Sunday and they were broadcasting a soccer game with the volume down. I glanced up and saw Billy Mays selling the scratch remover, but all the graphics were in spanish. I wondered if he yells in spanish as well, or if they attempt to dub over the audio with another annoying voice yelling in spanish.

I've never seen him on our TVs here on the island.
That type of loud voice selling technique is not
tolerated in the culture here. He'd be rejected in a heartbeat.

It's nice to occassionally be reminded of some of the few things I don't miss from the USA...

kind of like the weather here is terrible 'til I see the Hurricanes... and the Tornadoes... and the Blizzards....

This is another good reason not to have TV.
Our condo has just basic cable and I almost never watch it.
And our summer house (where I keep the cars) has no TV.
I have to admit that I've considered an FTA dish for the summer house so I could watch Public Television....but that's it.
