The Barn Find
As she looks today.
Cleaned the car with in a inch of its life
to get out all the mouse crud.
New seats, new tires, ripped out all the carpeting and put in the heat shield sound deadener, shapooed the carpets, and replaced
I have a new beige top made out of that canvas material.
Rebuilt the carbs, rebuilt the clutch master cylinder and rebuilt the slave cylinder, bleed the brakes, fixed all the knawed on wiring, still more to do,
have to order some mirror replacements from Moss.

impressive - congrats!

Very nice work -- that one cleaned up well.

MAN! That does look great!

But those sure are itty-bitty wing mirrors... I can see how they need replacing :jester:

Amazing what a fresh interior can do for good looks.

Love that Autumn Leaf color, especially on a white car.

Nice barn find, you lucky devil!

Mickey, those are Lucas Electric Wing Mirrors - they are transparent when the car isn't running. Ultra Unobtainium - most sets end up lost or smashed as owners lose them after they take them off or step on them because they forget where they put them!!

STEALTH MIRRORS!! Love it! :jester:

Well, here it is,
all leagle and registered
until 2013, only cost $750 to
register, (thats because the previous owner
lied to me about non-op'ing the car).
I figured that the car is worth 10X what it cost
to register, so I sucked it up and layed down
the cash. A few shots down the road from my house
on a nice twisty-turny type road to do the shake down cruise.

Dave - That shake down road looks a lot like the road thru Leona Valley going to Lake Hughes. We were just down there last month for my wife's step dads funeral. My wife and I road a bus to high school in Lancaster, going over that road twice a day in the late 50s.
Cheers,

Yes it is Lake Elizabeth Road, out behind my house.
There is a mexican resturant that we like, Casa Guiterrez, good food.

My brides family own the local Mortuary here in Palmdale,
they are the last one's to let you down.
