Went over to my buddy's shop to retrieve some manuals that I loaned him and check on his TR8 hardtop rebuild. When I left, I was green with envy. Dave, my friend, is such a neat freak that I cannot hold a candle to his work. The TR8, unlike his other LBCs, is being done somewhat as a resto-mod, at least as far as the engine/wiring is done. The entire car has been re-wired with helicopter-grade wiring that boggles the mind. Probably won't be ready for the N.O. car show in two weeks, might trail it down just to show off. The Piece-de-Resistance is the custom air filter box atop the 4-barrel carb. I wish I had a camera. Shaped like the Triumph open-book logo, you wouldn't believe how cool it looks. Fed by the two stock air intakes, this thing is a museum piece, sitting on top of an Emron-sprayed engine. Drool.

DOH! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif There go any hopes of my "winning" at New Orleans!

His car sounds great - looking forward to seeing it!

Well Bill, I suggest you get your butt back down there and this time bring your camera.
