The Chevy Power plant makes it almost worthless as far as I'm concerned (and no, that's not a slam against Chevy, I love my Chevy - I just don't want it's engine in my Daimler). But something like that if it were original and in excellent shape would probably be worth a decent amount (20-30k?). I saw one like mine in decent shape go for over 30k, but then they only made 500 like mine total and probably less than half survive today.

I think this is the 3rd time for this one, bids were up in the 40's & still not making "reserve". IMHO, they are not the nicest design Daimler ever came up with. And people think the SP250 is ugly. EBay #170048420248

WIth a Chevy Powerplant there is not way I'd pay anywhere near that (Even with the original motor, unless it was documented to be Eisenhower's car /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

At a car show a few years ago a fella with a Jag XJ-12 (onna outside) was all puffed up 'n posin'... Chevy V8 shoveled in it... i had him an explosive shade of crimson with: "Niiice. You took a $12K car and turned it into a 12-hundred dollar "beater."

I'm jumping in a little late on this thread, but here goes. I also own a MG and a Triumph, and like both. In defense of Triumph and to refute Doc, I remember that the TR4 won its class three years straight after it's introduction. Seems to say TR4's will run very well. Mike
