I like both cages and both meet the requirement I'm concerned about.
[I'm looking at the GCR page 113 (page 121 of the pdf file).]
I guess I need to acquire seats sooner rather than later so I can get the front hoop height within spec. Seat hight apears to be the problem more than the cage design I think.
I also need to figure out if how I want to build the rear hoop is legal. If you look at the pic again on page 113 of the GCR (and the associated text), it calls for the two horizontal side protection tubes. I want to have the rear hoop mounted to the deck behind the seats. This means I can have one horizontal bar runing just under the top of the door, but the second bar (the lower one) wouldn't be parallel to the horizontal bar, it would actually be closer to the diagonal bar above, extending from the base of the main hoop to the base of the front hoop. Both of these would notch into the doorway for extra clearance....
I'll try to draw up what I'm thinking shortly so it can be critiqued.
Also figured out I need to pickup a fuel cell, a catch bottle, battery disconnect & terminal cover and the fire supression system. Just going to have to put it together piece by piece as money allows...
Also want a set of Yokohama ADVAN A032R soft compound tires and new sway bars, but all in good time!
