yes I can read and speak Dutch pretty well, writing it, not so good. I was only 2 when dad immigrated to Canada from Zeeland, Yerseke was our home town.
Used to hear a lotta one liners from both mom and dad.

Your immigation story is very similar to mine. Mom and Dad came over from South Holland (Koudekerk a/d rijn). I can speak and read Dutch pretty well, but need a spell checker for writing. All my relatives are still there.
