I can't tell if your using shims under your "upgraded" springs. I ended up with using two 2 degree shims under each spring plus moving two leafs to the bottom to get a the ride height correct. First picture is my first attempt with just one 2 degree shim, looked like a off road vehicle. Second picture shows what I did to get the ride height down.

Not arched lowering wedges is what you will need. The 10 leaf springs jack things up too far in the air.
 
Started putting the rear axle together.
I had already de-greased it if that is a word.
Sandblasted and then painted.
Now I am cleaning up the threads.

I usually try to hand start with a new graded nut. Get it to go a few threads and then clean it up with a die. Once I get it going it is much easier to use a socket (with your hand to clean up the threads) over the die. When I get it pretty free I use the ratchet to clean the hard parts.
 
More parts showed up. Misc nuts, bolts and the bump rubbers. As with anything you would think that these would be a simple install; however, after about 20 minutes I was able to get the holes to line up. The rubber bumps are a little off from the originals. The cotter pins from one of the suppliers were more than likely correct but they did not leave any meat to really bend.

The pumpkin differential gasket was a perfect fit.
VB provided this part as they had some items I was unable to source from Moss.

 
Upon initial fill pinion seal was leaking. After it got down to a certain level leak stopped. So far anyway.

It is easy to overfill. You should just be able to touch oil with your pinkie finger stuck in the oil fill hole on the diff.
 

After pulling the rear braking plates off my donor car. The Adjuster Wedge that is really a fancy screw that applies pressure to the Adjuster Wedges was frozen solid. I tried PB Blaster, Heat and more PB Blaster. The screws are not coming out on either side. eBay has now provided "new" used braking plates. I pulled the Adjusters, cleaned the threads and now I can rotate them with very little effort. Adjusting the pads should now be a breeze.

You can tell my approach is to do a little everyday or at least something every week to stay on task. Kids are grown so I have more time. Also if if I hit a wall I move on and come back later. Thanks for reading. Holt
