Richmond VA 1960 Bugeye Bringing Miss Eva back to life.

You do realize having that other toy in the garage will delay you in getting the Bugeye done. Looking good, waiting to hear vroom, vroom noises soon. Me 2nd painter is supposed to have quote back to me early this week.

Where you able to use the engine stand adapter I sent you?

Yes I did. Fits perfect. And another BE owner is lined up to use it after. Thanks again.

Dash is almost complete.

Light switch interfered with the Ignition Switch so I had to drill an additional hole. The remaining hole will now become my horn button. The search is on for one I like.

I have 4 switches. 1 and 3 have the same shape as your ignition key - 4 has the patina of your ignition key. If you want, pick one and PM me your address - no charge.

Don’t you have a horn button that fits that steering wheel. That size opening could fit a Moto Lita center push. Easier to use the needing to hunt for a push button located in the dash. Safety Fast!!!

Miss Eva now has all the lights and turn signals working.

I am pretty much doing a wiring harness from scratch. I am not very fast at wiring but I do keep things neat so that counts for something plus my wife is impressed and what started off as a shell now looks like a car !

One point to mention. Don’t leave ignition switches on any longer than needed for testing as it’s possible to burn out points if you do. There is no AUX Circuit to operate devices in a BE.

I made my own harness so it is not an issue, plus I have not installed a distributor at this point.

Speed Hut Gauges are getting hooked up.

This was just the pointer indicators powered up.
There are two circuits. The pointers and the lighting circuit.

impressive! (and a little scary ) ;)

You did one heck of an engine build if you can hit 130 mph LOL in your garage.

Car Show This Weekend in Richmond sponsored by the British Car Club.

Since I am helping plan this event, I wanted to bring the Bugeye. It is not running but is getting very close. I will load it up Saturday and pull it on over. I am making it look like it is somewhat complete as I have installed the intake and carburetor. I am going to tidy up some of the wiring and put the seats back in Miss Eva. Hopefully people will appreciate what goes into getting one restored.
