RHD conversion

Rut,
I purchased 2x fiberglass "bare" dashboards from Frogeye Spares in the UK for $78 each. They have the standard RHD Bugeye layout of guages and switches but are not cut out yet. I also purchased 2x repro Dash Cones (as they call them) or plinths with new brass horn ring. There is a difference with the plinth, all be it slight, with the angle of the steering column to the dash and the orientation of the plinth on the dash, which aligns the brass ring for the horn. I think these were approx $36 each and the brass slip ring was $15. So for less than cost of just the dash in the US, you could get all the parts you need for $130 plus shipping.

As far as cutting and welding a LH dash, I am not sure that they are symetrical. However tomorrow, I can align an inverted Mk 2 dash I have with one of the fiberglass dashes to see if it is indeed symetrical.

Here are the links to Frogeye spares.
