TR2/3/3A Replacing rear springs

Yiou might give the other side a try now that you know how it works. My driver side pin came on out the way it was supposed to, unlike the offside. I was able to use a new pin on the driver's side, which I felt better about.

Well, now that your this far into it...

...your only a couple years away from a full restoration!!

David,

Will try to attach pic's, the right one if off!! The pic's will not attach? If you will send me your email address, I will send them.

David,

The pic's would not attach? If you will send me your email address, I can send them.

The right one is on. Will not try to remove left bolt as it is to easy to lift the body, in the condition it is now in.

Hello Dick.

Posting here would be better as everyone could see what you are working with on your pins.

What format are your photos in? and how big are they? I always resize mine.

First click on this tab.

If you double left click the image it should bring up a box allowing you to enlarge and center the photo on the page.

I get as far as having the file chosen, but have no image to click on? If I double click on the file # it puts me back where I started. I even tried hitting Upload File, after the file is in the chosen box, I do get a box that says File failed to upload?

Thanks for everyone's help with this problem. I have successfully removed both rear springs, due to the fact I had removed everything removable on this car. One bolt in the rear, on each side, was all I had to remove to be able to lift the body enough for the springs to slide off.

Dick

Both leaf's are off, lifted both sides of body with little effort. New ones go on next week.

Thanks to all for your help.

Dick

Have not driven it yet but comparing the spring rate to another TR3A at a show it seemed about the same. Pushing down on the rear of one then the other they seemed the same. (My car went to the show on a trailer)
