I have a wide assortment of air impact wrenches, from a little 3/8" 'butterfly' (as in wouldn't hurt a) to a 1" beast that will round or twist anything. But none of them work nearly as well on slotted fasteners as that hand impact tool.Brosky said:Those tools were very popular in the 70's, just as air wrenches were coming on the scene.
Used to have a Jap motorcycle that was covered with fine thread metric steel screws into aluminum housings and so on. Had to take 3 of them out just to change the oil filter. Just no way to remove them without ruining the head, except for the hand impact, which took them off every time.
