removing black seam sealing

I am restoring a Mk3 BJ8 frame off. Currently, the naked body is on a rotisserie.
Next step shoud be to sandblaste frame and body. But first I want to remove the hard black seam sealing. Is there a hint how this can be done easily?

I use a propane torch to loosen and soften body filler which makes it easy to scrape off. Might work on seam sealer (but also might turn it into gooey mess).

Modern BMWs (some anyway) use an asfault mat sound deadening material, and I find it easy to cut and remove (to do my signature repair) by softening it up with a heat gun. This stuff in not unlike the material used on MGB floors, so the same technique might apply to what you're trying to do too.

Could be a little easier to work with, and less flamable, than the torch ;)

thanks for your help. With the heat gun i can soften the seal and then remove easily.
