I have been staring at 4 quarts of Red Line MT-90 sitting on the shelf for months. Just too lazy to crawl under my BN2 Healey with four speed & OD & drain it.
Finally did the deed & changed the fluid. Others have said that it seems to give smoother, quicker shifting than the original factory recommended SAE 20 motor oil. Surprise - surprise - It really does. The transmission shifts with less force required on the shifter & noticeably quicker. OD works the same (perfectly) as before. Should have changed months ago.
I'm sure that it has to do with the MT-90 letting the synchro rings grab more quickly & harder. Who'd have thought it? Only several folks on this forum who have already said it.
