This car won't be used except for fun on nice days. It will be garaged. A paint that will look great and stands up and doesn't fade quickly is desired.
Thanks
Base/clear is your best bet for the long haul. The Clear is actually the best protection against fade if it is high solids. The high solids in a single stage will resist fading but even a light scratch can show off the great looking primer underneath. I plowed the clear on(had some runs to shave and sand) and I may have to go to a Ford 289 to haul that much gloss around, but it looks great.

This rig allowed me to roll the hood to any position for cleaning, prepping, and painting.

I'll 2nd that request for the finished pic! The advice is appreciated and that rig looks real handy - good idea...

Don,t count your chickens...unless my son-in-law helps out, a lot, Its going to be put back together by a carpenter, and may end up looking like a corner cabinet.

Great looking paint! love the two tone.
Thanx the paint scheme was the wife's design. we printed a bunch of side & nose shots of someone's white GT6 from the web, and used that as a canvas to experiment on for stripes and such.
