TR4 Rear Seatback/Hoodstick cover install

I'm in the process of rescuing a 1962 Triumph TR4. I'm installing the interior trim (Moss Panel and Carpet Kits) but am not sure how the "Rear Sewn Seat Back" is installed. I've contacted Moss but they can't find any details as to how this rear seat back/cover (and rear valence covers) are installed. These pieces serve as the hoodstick covers on a soft top TR4. It kind of, sort of, seems as if these pieces fit under the moulding trim pieces. But are they also glued down, or weather-proofed in some fashion? Or is there some other method of installing? The edges of the upholstery consist of leather, foam and fabric layers. Is the pressure of the moulding enough to keep water from seeping into the foam layer and further into the seat back? Should it be sealed in some fashion? I had a TR4 50 years ago but have no idea how that seat back was installed. Took it for granted ... and this one came with an upholstery-less interior, leaving me scratching my hair-challenged head. If anyone with a soft top TR4 could look at that back seat and tell me how it is attached, my wife will be forever grateful (me too).
