Welcome Midgetboy,

What do you plan on doing with the LBC?

This would help field an answer.

I've seen guys who've put the earlier bumperettes on there. They're basically two chrome pieces that will cover the mounts.

Check a VB catalog for pics.

Please post a picture, MidgetBoy. I am very interested in what folks are doing to de rubberize their late midgets.

Rob... do you mean they used the bumperette from the Bugeye, or the split bumper from the early 70's cars?

morris - these are the bugeye bumperettes. They seem to fit pretty good. I was planning on doing this for a while.

guess i am blind, i cant make out much of that front end at all. I wouldnt mind going bumperless in the back and had not thought of using just bumperettes, Neat idea. My question would be what do you folks do about DMV inspections? NO bumpers would seem to be a no pass/no sticker deal.

put 'em on the day before inspections? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

We don't do inspections out here, so it's pretty straight forward....

Nice, no inspections, I was wondering about that. I agree about the un needed weight, that that is the one thing that I didn't like about the rubber bumper midget that I had owned. The second was the front suspension is to high (another day).

I would think that some BE rear bumpers painted black would cover the wholes and fit the scheme.

Just take it easy on the sway bar, if you go to big they rip without re-enforcement.

Yea, up front I went with a couple of fog lights:

out back, I just put some hardware in the two holes and called it a day:

lowered front and back 2". A little more out back when these pics were taken. Also running lower profile tires, giving me another 0.75" of drop....
