I wasn't sure if I posted this, but since this is such a long off season...I figured I would show you what mother nature did last year

This was the first attempt to start the 50th anniv. Sprite race...we did it again the next day and I went from 11th of 18 cars to finish 4th! Made me glad that I learned to race at Gingerman Raceway for my license with VSCDA in the rain!

Bugeye + Hardtop = Dry Driver

Yes the off season is too long, but I'm still behind on my maintenance and upgrades.

Ooooof! No fun!

I ran a two hour stint in four hour enduro once in rain like that. In a '63 Sprite. At night. At Summit Point (it was the yearly four-hour "twiligt" enduro).

Our car had a full windshield but no wipers. So about 10 minutes before hand, we pulled the windshield. I taped a sponge the the back of my glove to wipe my faceshield. I used it at least 10 times per lap.

I did manage to get the car to 6000 rpm in fourth...on Hoosier TDs. But if was sort of dicey.

Took me a week to feel dry again.
