Electrical fuel pump.

When hooking up wires I attached the power for the fuel pump to the keyed switch along with the white wires. That is post 10 on the switch, does that sound right to you guys.

Jack,

Sounds correct, i.e., with the white wires.
However, on my ignition switch the white wires are hooked up to the "IG" 'post'. On the back of the switch the 'posts' should be marked "IG" (white wires), "S&T" (red wires), "A" (brown/blue wire), and "H" (blue wire).

Jack:

Connected with the white wire sounds familiar to me as well.

Patrick

Maybe what I thought was 10 was really IG.

Got to admit that I could only read two of the numbers that matched with the wireing diagram but filled in the other two knowing that one.

Have not put the juice to all yet. That is a next step and the final major one as far as I am concerned.

Are you going to fuse your battery feed wire for the initial test hookup?

What size fuse Trevor, thats a great idea. I am just a bit leary of socking it to it.

You know I could also put a switch in the brown lead as well.

You know Jack, I was thinking that you might be reading IG as a 10! hehe! That's the kind of thing my old eyes would do too!! I would think a 15 to 20 amp fuse would be OK, but if you have good connections and a good ground there should be no prob.!

Yup, a 15 amp would be fine to test one thing at a time.

I did it Trevor but I used a 30 amp, just happened to be in the fuse holder.

Whoot, turned key on pump came on, fuel gage worked, Ign light came on. What a releaf that was.

Bonnet not installed nor are the turn signal lights so lighting per say remains to be tested.

Boy am I getting close. Even ordered part of the interor this morning.
