MGB-GT Question - removing front bearings

How do I remove the inner bearing (closest to the hub) and distance piece? Tap it out from the outside?

3/8" diameter long brass drift and tap it out from the "outside." There are two undercut recesses in the casting, 180° opposite each other to allow you to tap equally for removal... the spacer tube will move around enough to allow you to do it. May want to clean the hub thoroughly with mineral spirits to see what the old grease is hiding.

Thanks, Doc. Will tackle shortly and report back.
