Question-brake drums

Ok the good book says inside diam. of drums is 7" nominal. Mine are at 7" to 7 1/16 inchs and need turned due to rust.

Now the question is how much is the max diam. I can have and still have brakes. ie if 7" in nominal what is the max.
 
7 1/8" is max. At 7 1/8"s the brakes will just barely work. How bad is the rust? If it is surface rust, sandpaper them.
 
They are going to take a real resurfaceing, I expect new ones are in order
 
And DON'T even push the 7 1/8" either, it is not real fun when the pistons pop out of the cylinder during a panic stop!! Been there,done that.
