. ANYWAY, someone has given me a motherboard that I would like to build my next computer around, but I'm having trouble deciding how much to pay for a processor. I'm looking at Athlon X2's. I realize you get what speed you pay for, but how much should I invest in a CPU? The cheap ones are miles ahead of what I have in the computer I'm using right now. Is it worth paying an extra $50 to $75 or more for the latest whizbang CPU or go with something a little less costly. We are not gamers or use the computer for big projects, just the standard few games, web surf, kids do home work on kinda machine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
