The "Old Sturbridge Village" kitchen garden at mid-summer. Just under one half acre of pre-1900 variety vegetables, (plus indian corn, potatoes, and rye planted farther down the hill).
Lower garden: Jerusalem artichoke, winter squash, watermelon, pole beans, medicinal herbs.
Upper garden: biennial seed bed, cucumbers, summer squash, salad, bush beans, carrot, beet, parsnip, onion.
I've been volunteering there as a farmer/gardener for over ten years. So how's your garden at home?
