It's a rainy day in the Carolinas so I decided to do a job I had been putting off for awhile. I changed out my original 4.22 diff for a 3.90. I also change the axles shafts to the later stronger ones. Now I'm just waiting for a pretty day to try it out. I know everybody likes to see photos, so I took a few along the way.

One way to prevent the axle from leaking is to use Copper Coat on the gaskets.

Very nice!

Honestly, the 3.7 (from the rubber bumper, 1500 cars) is a good choice too.

I wanted a 3.7, but got this one at a really good price. I may keep looking if I am not pleased with this one.

Rainy day in East Tennessee as well. All I've done is piddle. Makes me feel as if I should have been more focused.

FWIW, I know a guy who calls his daughter his chunky pumpkin.

Re: Pumkin Chunkin

That would get me killed by my daughter!

He's a precher and says it from the pulpit. He's a great guy and loves her dearly.

that would get me tortured, killed, dismembered, burned and my ashes spread to the four winds. And then she'd get angry.
