It's a rainy day in the Carolinas so I decided to do a job I had been putting off for awhile. I changed out my original 4.22 diff for a 3.90. I also change the axles shafts to the later stronger ones. Now I'm just waiting for a pretty day to try it out. I know everybody likes to see photos, so I took a few along the way.
Here's the old one stamped 9/38
New one in place
New axles painted.
One way to prevent the axle from leaking is to use Copper Coat on the gaskets.
