Here so far is the fruits of my labor. Still needs to have the gas tank cleaned out and the sending unit replaced.

Regarding Tony's question, those are Eagle racing wheels I found on Craig's list here in Gilbert for $50 for all four. they came off a Ford Escort wagon. The hole spacing was 4 X 100MM, about 1/16 short. They are also 1/2 wider. I made rear wheel spacers 1/2 thick so they would not rub the leaf springs with 4 holes at 4" and installed 4 new studs at 100MM, 90 degrees rotated to accomodate the rim spacing. The front were more complicated. I had to machine new counterbored holes at 4" spacing and by making washers out of pre heat treated 4340 steel with a hole and countersink I was able to accomodate the 4" spread. The tires cleared the fenders fine in front so I did not need a spacer/shim. Everything went together perfectly except I need to carry two lug wrenches because of the rear wheel spacers. The car is at the MG shop now where Glen is putting in a new clutch. I can take some pics and post it here later this week if you like. I did not want spend $600 plus for MiniLites and it was going to cost $200 plus to have the Rosestyle wheels powder coated.
