All back together, runs, NO OIL PRESSURE.

Ran twice for about 10 sec each time.

Now what?

How long can I run or crank this thing before I do damage.

Did you open the engine this time?

What did you do to the oil pump last time you had it out??

Noop, did not open engine.

Replaced old oil pump with a new one.

Gotta be in the wiring/instrument/pickup

Can you hook another instrument up directly to the pickup? Turn her over without cranking to see if oil pressure builds up.

No wireing, it is a direct pressure read guage. I can check the guage again with air to confirm it is ok.

Did you prime the pump, Jack?? Take the banjo bolt from the block where the line to the filter attaches. Pour or squirt oil in there until you think it should be full. Reconnect everything and give it another shot.

Will do, now.

Did as above, it is flooded at that moment, will try again in 10 min or so.

However, even on crancking now I get just a bit of needle deflection so would think I got it primed.

Thanks Tony, Jeff.

Oil pressure I have, need to adjust timeing and carbs now but it is late, tomorrow. Will not go above about 1500 and does not want to idle, and you know I marked the dizzy before I pulled it. So much for that.

Once I get it timed and running up to temp will let you all know how it went.

Had no prob at all Ben, short work with a 15/16 socket and an oil pump, only a couple of strokes.

Now if I can just have the right oil pressures when I check it out tomorrow.

Great News Jack!!!

When you adjust her, keep it a bit on the high side. It can always be lowered.
