Anyone ever heard of Nylatron? I don't know if they are still available. I used them Om my MGB 12 years ago. They were a grey color and supposedly were graphite impregnated. So far no wear or squeaks, but they are hard. Too hard for street use in my opinion.
 
Nylatron is available from Moss UK. I was just reading about it in the catalog. I'm sticking with the rubber bushings. We'll see.
