Pivot bolt stuck - BFH time?

Specifically #92 won't budget even with the pressure relieved from the rotor assembly etc...

Penetrating fluid and BFH time? (I just love writing hammer time. Don't tempt me or I'll break out in song).

I wonder if it's rusted to the distance pieces (93). I don't suppose with the nut off that you can pull 94 and 93 out on that side (or at least tell if the bolt is rusted to that distance piece)?

If you pull the entire suspension off the car altogether after dropping the bottom spring pan and spring, shouldn't you be able to pull the lower forward arm off (90) assuming you can get the plastic/nylon bush (94) off?

Scott

Keep in mind though, that while the bolt & trunnion are disposable, you probably don't want to ruin the A-arms. This might be a good time for an angle grinder & cutoff blade first

Slightly different setup BUT(!) I'd recommend the Weasel Pee (50/50 acetone & ATF) penetrant... used it on Her MGB after a LOT of other methods and 'stuff'.

It WORKS!

Hi Scott!

I think it most likely is. And per your idea I could pull the remaining suspension off more or less intact if the darn thing won't budge. That will give me better access to everything and, as Randall pointed out, minimize the chance of messing up the A-arms.
