Gee thanks Roger ! The bad advice I saw was you telling him to put the old rings back in after he switched the 2 pistons around. We all want him to switch them. I'm not a piston engineer but know that a V-8 289 ford with it's short stroke has much more thrust pressure than a long stroke inline 6 Healey engine. We come here to offer free advice whether they are doing a $200 build or a $15,000 build. We don't know it all and don't cut on peoples mistakes. Rings do rotate on the piston , but I didn't say a word to Brinkerhof. I came here to offer 45 years of engine service and make friends !
