Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

I have never seen a bumper like that before! I don't know why I suddenly thought of Dolly Parton :jester:

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

Those bumpers are also known as "Sabrina's". I'll leave the rest to you. :jester:

Stuart.

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

Midgets don't need bumpers like that, they start just fine.

Nice looking car.

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

For those that didn't see mine in the other thread, here is one of the pics again. I hope to have him on the road in the next week or two if all goes well. The list is down 11 things right now and the last one is register and the one before that is vacuum clean and buff. Anyways, this is him. Oh, one more thing. I plan on putting a hitch on him so I can pull the sailboat (Miss Spridget) and I would love some picutures, drawings, explanations of how you guys did yours for those who have hitches.

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

I may have asked this before but what are you planning on using for a radiator?

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

Here is my contribution - "Midge" as she currently sit's, picture taken 15 minutes ago - I just got home, in Seattle past 2 weeks waiting to submit a "current" photo
Picked up recored radiator yesterday, just might get it in today & then I'll put the grill back in & fire it up - still to much snow on the driveway to get it out to the roads which are clear... come on sunshine !!

Shealey,

G13B conversion looks great!

I am assuming you used the samuri 5 speed, if so how much of the trans crossmember did you cut out?

I looked long and hard at these motors before going Silvertop 4AGE instead.

are you going to use the rear driven distributor or a different ignition.

Jay

Sorry for the slow response, I'm working out of town for the week and traveling alot.

Yes: Samurai 5sp. I'll post a picture when I get back home of the trans mount mod. I used the stock holes through the bug chassis.

I've been eyeing your, that is going to be wicked fast!

Yes: I'm keeping the rear dizzy and the fuel injection. I moved the battery to the passanger side above the footwell and moved the heater box back against the fire wall. I have notched the heater channel for dizzy clearance and will just re-box it to keep the heater working as designed.

Also I measured the Samurai radiator. It will be perfect. It will match the engine size and bolt to the stock stand offs. I will run an electric pusher fan.
I'll post more pics when I get back home. I did a bunch of work last week but did have time to get photos.

That will need a sissy bar. Good fun.

I was LMAO! I thought about the car motorcycle commercial with the big bikers!

Yes: Double DOM sissy bars, Ox Blood stripe!

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

Finally got a picture of mine to post. This is the 74 (according to the heritage certificate) or the 73 (according to California and the bumpers).

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

Wow, looks like I am going to drive all the way to Missouri to be humiliated. My garage paint job and all is not going to compare with y'alls. I bought my midget for $800 ten years ago and put around $3000 in it so far.

Re: PICTURE PAGE, a picture page, time to make a p

Kim, don't even worry about it.
Mine's not original, it's not concors, but it's mine and it'll make it there and back and have a bunch of fun in the process; that's accomplishment enough for me.

Hopefully registration will be next week if all goes well for me. If ever a midget was set up for a long distance run it is mine with the new gearing and all and hopefully over 40mpg. We will see I guess.
