WOW! I talked to a reputable shop near my home. They do LBC body work, american classics and some custom work. They showed me a 120 Jag they're working on. They wanted the entire winter plus some more if they were busy. They estimated $12k - $15k for removing stuff, separating the fenders, but not removing them, and stripping to bare metal. They suggested a single stage (no clear coat) urethane (?), which they had on the Jag. It looked pretty nice.
I'm not up for spending that much right now, but at some point in the future, it's gonna have to be done.
