I picked up my new-to-me 1971 TR6 on Thursday night. It was cold enough that the top was too stiff to get up so it was a brisk hour and a half drive home - smiling all the way. The car looks pretty good from 20 feet but up close you can see it needs some work. But I was looking for a project.
The paint isn't great and it needs a new interior- seats, carpets, panels, the whole bit. But it seems to run pretty well and doesn't appear to be too rusty. The outer sills have been replaced although not done too well so they'll need to be done over. There is rust under the battery and the dog-leg on the right rear fender looks suspicious so I'm expecting it will need some rust repair. I've had rustier British cars before so I think I can deal with it.
I've been lurking here a while and this seems a really nice place. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and maybe I can answer a few, too.

Now let's see if I can figure out how to post a pic.
