Okay... I confess to pushing myself too hard with my photogarphy... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif

Last weekend on a damp day downtown, I took very few photos, but did manage to take this street portrait before the rain came down heavy...

By the accounts of a few people, my best street portrait yet... And since one other person always shows off his art here, I think it's my turn... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

And the next day did a portrait session with someone and got this photo amongst others...

Perhaps a real coming out now? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif But not perfect yet... Still lots to learn...

But the street scene - great find! Keep it up - looks to this non-trained eye that you're on the right track.

You're getting the hang of it, my Uncle John was an amateur
photographer in Oz, won awards and all that stuff, His theory
was to never do a portrait with the subject looking directly
into the camera, but always the eyes toward at said camera...

That street portrait is very nice -- my kind of photo, and I'm also a big fan of black and white. Funny how the lack of color makes the images more lifelike.

I often prefer my street portrait subject to not look at the camera, I'll go either way really...
