I wonder if bypassing the forum photo loader and using the old "img" format will work:
![]()
Nope, that don't work. Must be Lucas Software.
copied the full link instead of the abbreviated link auto loaded by forum software to test.
One of the issues I'm finding is that many photo sharing sites these days don't let you see a direct url to the image. So there's no url to copy and paste.
I've tried three sites last night, and they all let me open a page showing only the image I select - but wouldn't let me see the image url itself. Seem to be imbedded via java script or something. Also very interesting that some systems show images (Android) that don't show on other systems (iPhone).
Soon all computer systems will be so safe and secure, that you won't be able to put anything in, or get anything out.

YOU'RE confused?I'm confused - the forum software isn't going to abbreviate the URL. You should copy the complete URL from the Flicker site first - then either:
1. Past the URL in your post and surround it by image tags:
""![]()
or
2. Click on the "Insert Image" icon in the editor and select the "From URL" tab. Then post the complete URL that you copied from Flickr into the URL field. There is a check box that is checked by default that says "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"
If you leave that checked than it will actually download the picture from Flicker onto my hard drive and when you see the image it will be the image on my server. However, if you uncheck that box, the image you see will be the image retrieved from Flicker (assuming they allow hot linking)
View attachment 49408 This is what I get, every time. Not sure what the reference locally box is for, but it is auto-checked. I slid things over as far as I could, trust me, the .jpg is there in the URL.
