I got to meet Mr. Hill once, several years ago up at an event at Road America. Truly a nice man, who didn't appear to take the attitude that he was "Phil Hill, World Champion", and was more like "Phil Hill, car guy".
One can sign a book of condolences over at www.philhill.com, should anyone be interested.
hmmm. Not to many of his generation left. One of the pioneers of "modern" racing. Left behind some truly facinating stories.
