TR2/3/3A PeterK, or others -- How did you mount your BMW fan on the TRactor motor?

I have purchased the red plastic BMW 2002 fan. I am curious how other people have mounted it.

Did you use the stock mounting kit, with the metal spacers and the rubber bushings? This requires opening up the holes in the BMW fan to 9/16", and shortening the metal spacers.

Or, did you dispense with the metal spacers and just use some rubber washers?

Or, did you just bolt it on with no rubber washers?

Here's an old shot, you've probably seen it. Kind of shows the kit with the lock tabs.

I used a new fan kit from TRF. Since theirs fits TR2-TR6, the inserts are probably already shorter to accomodate the TR6 plastic fan. Not saying that I know the plastic fan is thinner, but probably.

Yes, I had to elongate/slot the mounting holes in the fan a bit but plastic was easy to work.
