Passenger Parcel Shelf in a Bugeye

Once upon a time I had a 58 not restored and it had the flat door panels.. along with all the other noted oddities like the door latch handles did have the knob at the end... But the ? is when did they switch to the other style.

"You could fit the padded front edge to one of these but being metal I would bet that things that are hard would make noise in one of these. Original cardboard falls apart though.".................

I put the same exact shelve in my 66 midget, spray painted it black first AND put some nice black shelve liner (for kitchen shelves, from Ace Hardware ) on it to provide the cushion necessary to keep things quiet that may be put on it, works great and looks great. If you order it from Ebay-UK make sure you state left hand drive because he makes them for both.
