Pat: very nice. before you reinstall, you might want to inspect the pawl for wear & also replace the spring with a new one..

This is chrome with a coat of gloss over it. I just bought a one part chrome (no additional gloss required) and am looking forward to seeing how that looks. I might try it on the valve cover - it won't look chrome but it might look very good, nonetheless.
Thanks for tips on spring and pawl Frank. I reused spring (it seemed fine) and pawl looked new. Hoping that will be fine.
