Amazing what you can do with a Harbor Freight blast cabinet and an Eastwood Home Powder Coating System. I was real happy with how this came out. Poor man's re-chroming job.

Wow, no kidding - that looks great! I wonder how if that powder would do a decent job on a tired valve cover. I like the satin sheen look to it.
 
This is chrome with a coat of gloss over it. I just bought a one part chrome (no additional gloss required) and am looking forward to seeing how that looks. I might try it on the valve cover - it won't look chrome but it might look very good, nonetheless.

Thanks for tips on spring and pawl Frank. I reused spring (it seemed fine) and pawl looked new. Hoping that will be fine.
