Parking and Headlight problems

Hey, I am putting my 73' B roadster back together, and I have a few questions on the wiring of the Headlights, and the inserting of the parking/turn signal lights.
First, I had a little problems with the wiring for the headlights because of:
1)I didnt label them when I took them out.
2)I cant make out all the colors of the wires, so its not as simple as hooking up color to color. I think I almost have it, but one headlight seems to come on when you put the switch in the parking light location, or middle toggle.

Now, the parking lights seem to have 4 studs coming out the back and only 3 holes in the fenders? Two for the back nuts to secure the light, and two coming through from the lenses that holds the lense onto the bezel. I took the lights off, so I dont know why things look different to me while putting them back on. I will send a picture or two if I still cant get an answer to this dilema.
I assume all 4 studs should have a hole, so you can put the bezel flush with the fender.

Thank you

Wow, 17 views and no response. I will make it easier for you. How about just guessing. Just kidding, I will take a picture so you know what I am talking about.

Thanks

Yeah take a picture. Maybe one of the holes got painted over?

Use some spray carb cleaner and a rag to clean a section of the wiring (next to the connectors works best). You will be amazed what will become visible again under all that grime.

Some tracer colours may still be hard to see...but with a proper wiring diagram, you'll most likely be able to sort it out.

Blue wires are headlight colors. Red tracer is low, white is high. Green are turn signal with tracer: red or white for the left and right. Ground is black on the headlamps. It will not hurt to run an "extra" set of grounds to screws holding the fixtures in place. Red is running lights.

If you can't make out the colors there's hardly a way to properly connect 'em. Is this an "overspray" issue or grunge?

Mineral spirits will clean most everything but polyurethane or epoxy paint from wiring, BTW. A paper towel ~dampened~ with lacquer thinner can clean the ends of minor overspray as well. But it can also attack the plastic so ya gotta be quick.

Thanks for the wiring diagram. That should help. I have the wires cleaned much better. Not 100%, but close enough that I should be able to figure it out.

Thanks

Carb cleaner on a rag really works well on wires.
