overdrive oil leak

My overdrive is slightly leaking oil /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

The leak stems from the Core Plug (next to the drain plug)

Is there anyway this can be sealed off without having to open the entire overdrive?
 
Hi Higgins,
perfect cleaning with brake cleaner and outside sealing with ELRING DIRKO silicon worked fine for me in that area. Surely only a temporary fix but it is already lasting for over 3 years.
