Not really, but hey they are only asking $180,000 right?

I think it should be a done deal for you. Look at all the money we all could save on freight if you could make the deliveries.

This one has tried to sell twice and it is cheaper.
eBay # 300375019954

Unlike the DC3 you could land it in your backyard.

LOL. Here is what Ian is referring to;

Think the neighbors would mind if I took it out for an early Sunday jaunt?

I thought that one was sans-engine.

Did you see the episode of Scrapheap Challenge where the challenge was to build a car-tossing trebuchet? Tossing Mini's too if I recall correctly!

You had me worried there for a second, Tom. We were going to have to have a chat About the need to finish the current projects...

On a more related note, there's a chap at our local airport who restores old planes. He just finished up a twin-engined bomber (Lockheed PV-2). Fantastic to hear it flying over our little town.

Google "Attu Warior" to see photos and video.

I've been inside the plane during an open house the airport. I no longer feel bad about the work I still have to do on the Tunebug. Airplane restoration makes car restoration seem like a modest afternoon craft project.

Geez, at a failing mall, next to the 2 story xmas tree sat a small private plane. Unlike the normal random vehicles they abandon in malls in an attempt to get you to find a dealer, there was a guy there handing out brochures trying real hard to get the average joe to buy one. Considering how much many people here spend on brand new cars, constantly making payments and such, never getting ahead, it makes sense, but not for us. Plus you have to pay for schooling and need a set amount of flight time hours... ...then the cost of special fuel, where are you going to land, and what not. If I got one, it would be one that could land in water.

I remember growing up... ...my mom kept telling me that by the time I was 18, we'd all be flying jets. At age 6, I already knew which one I wanted: (yes I know it doesnt land on water, or shouldnt anyway)

Hey Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!!

I'm in, when do we start?

TD This has always been one of MY favorite aircraft. I would sell all I have and starta charter service if it were possible.

The twins (*26yrs old boys) are in from Charlotte. I told them yesterday that one of thier highschool mates had flown up from Charleston to either Greenville or Ashville with a pilot two summers ago. En route, an engine caught fire. The pilot extinguished it and flew the balance of the way on one engine. The boys hadn't heard of this story, so I guess they'll have something to talk about when they run into David this week.

David is quite a remarkale lad. Did about 2 years college, quit and took a position as a contractor with the DOD, working on classifed control systems, (at about 20 yrs old).

Patrick - There is a DC3 at Planes of Fame that is outside, I'll grab some more pictures next time I am out there.

Had a friend who flew C47 in WWII: Alternate lead dropping 82nd Airborne into France, 6/05/44.
