I've asked before - there doesn't seem to be such a thing - I'd love to see one compiled though.
 
Take it over to various MG boards and ask people to list the names and locations of the ones they remember. That should give you a good start.
 
There was a great article in the UK Classic and Sports Car magazine on Mike Cook. He was the PR guy for British Leyland here in the US. He describes the kind of crazy mess "dealerships" were. You could have a garage who'd purchase a 6 or 10 cars, and that was a dealership.
 
The one here in Huntsville, AL was Stockton Motors.
 
I think there were several here in Louisville (over the years). I think the last British Leyland dealer was Koster-Swope.
 
One in Fort Walton Beach, FL, Atlanta, GA, and Honolulu, HI, I did busness with all of them.
 
In Atlanta we had Hix Green downtown (maybe it took over Downing Motor Co.) Troncalli (eastside), Baker Motor Co. (Buckhead) ,Colonial Sports Cars (northside) and Andy's Sports Car Centre (westside) which took over Teague which took over Murphy and Hall. That's how I remember it.

There was one in Canton, Ohio. I don't remember the name but I bought several tail lights from them for my B in 74.

I did not spend much time at Hix Green except the time Tullius and the Group44 XKE V12 was there. I worked at Colonial Sports Cars (formerly Allen-Russell) until the last day then started British Car Service in Smyrna.

That's the place, Northside. I brought in a pair of front spindles that needed fited and I think you did it. In fact I seem to remember you had a set of rear disk brakes for a Bugeye in your tool box that you would not let go of. LOL, I wonder why.

Wow, been a lot of years I think. Like 35 or so.
 
Just got a Sprite Mk III brochure (The NEW Austin Healey Sprite Mk III Sports convertible) that has a stamp on it:

Didn't Spruell start out with BMC cars? I wasn't around Atlanta then, but I seem to recall something like that.

The BMC and later BL dealership I grew up with was in New Brighton, PA. "Boffo Motors".

Fresno California had an MG dealer, British Motors, if I recall correctly. It was in a very nice art deco building with big picture windows. I woould drive by in the evening and see the beautiful orange, red and greem MGB's and Midgets inside. I was in college then and couldn't afford one. Great image to retain from those days though.
